Be more than ready. Be more than prepared. The 2022 Lightning comes with standard 4x4 drive across all models, dual electric motors (one on each axle) working in harmonious efficiency, instant torque to the wheels, 775 pound-foot of torque and a targeted 426 horsepower. Want to see that horsepower really jump? Supercharge it to 563 with an upgraded extended-range lithium-ion battery. You can effortlessly switch between selectable Drive Modes (Normal, Sport, Tow-Haul and Off-Road) in the fastest-accelerating F-150.2 Plus, get ready to deliver in the Lightning with 10,000 pounds of max available towing3 and 2,000 pounds of max available payload.4

Utility still pumps the heart of this latest F-150 addition. The Mega Power Frunk, a 400-liter front trunk that can hold up to 400 pounds (approximately eight 50-lb. bags of ready-mix cement),5 can be opened remotely with the FordPass™ app. It's washable and drainable, and it also contains four Pro Power Onboard 120-volt outlets, totaling 2.4kW of exportable power. With it's "waterfall-style" design, you can easily load and unload cargo. The Lightning also boasts a 5.5-ft cargo box on all models, a standard Class IV trailer towing hitch, Enhanced Zone Lightning (front, sides and rear) and extended running boards with enhanced LED ground lighting. What does that mean for you? You're in good hands with the Lightning.

If you're still not shocked, try getting into the cabin of this incredible vehicle for a second current of excitement. It claims a standard SYNC® 4 12.0-inch landscape touchscreen. Want something bigger? Upgrade it to the huge SYNC® 4A 15.5-inch portrait-style touchscreen. Both will display everything from the trailer camera to your Onboard Scales metrics, both of which are available with the Tow Technology Package, to your frequently used apps and radio. If you're worried about range, take a look at Intelligent Range, a feature that factors in elements such as weather, traffic, payload and more into its final number to help you calculate the power needed for your road trip. What's more? Ford Co-Pilot360™ Technology is adding more optional features to its proactive suite of safety features: BlueCruise hands-free highway driving 6 and Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Speed Sign Recognition.

Your biggest question equals our favorite answer: It's simple to charge the 2022 Lightning! How simple? As easy as plugging it into a standard outlet at home with the included charge cord, a 240-volt NEMA 15-50 outlet or an installed Ford Connected Charge Station. You'll also have access to the FordPass™ charging network — North America's largest public charging network7 — which means you can find DC fast chargers wherever you go. But don't fret about range. The extended-range battery provides a targeted EPA-estimated 300-mile range.8 You can also charge your tools and electronics with the Enhanced Pro Power Onboard, with up to 11 power outlets available (9.6 kW output). And even bigger and better, with available Ford Intelligent Backup Power, your F-150 Lightning can restore power for your home like a generator for up to three days — all with the push of a button. 9
